His research interests include eddy current nondestructive testing theory, numerical analysis and testing technology. In terms of theory, the eddy current detection skin effect is mainly studied, and the eddy current diffusion-cancellation theory and eddy current reflection theory are proposed, and the theoretical system of eddy current detection skin effect is preliminarily established. In terms of numerical analysis, the finite element simulation of eddy current detection is mainly studied, and the regional decomposition method of low-frequency electromagnetic field analysis is proposed to solve the problems of eddy current detection simulation of magnetic core coil scanning. In terms of detection technology, the main research is CFRP life cycle eddy current testing technology (such as the vertical eddy current method to detect CFRP delamination defects), CFRP panel-aluminum honeycomb core sandwich structure eddy current testing technology, and aluminum alloy residual stress state eddy current testing technology.

The doctoral dissertation supervised by him was nominated for "Excellent Doctoral Dissertation of Fujian Province" and "National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation in the Field of Measurement, Control and Instrumentation".
