Li Weibin

Li Weibin is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Xiamen University. His main research areas are nonlinear acoustic theory and application, advanced non-destructive testing/structural health monitoring theory and method. He has won the Achenbach Medal in the field of international non-destructive testing/structural health monitoring, the Young Scientist Award of Asian Experimental Mechanics, and the Climbing Award of the Far East Nondestructive Testing New Technology Forum. He presided over the Outstanding Youth Project of the National Foundation of China, and was selected as a Young Changjiang Scholar of the Ministry of Education. At present, he is the director of the Acoustical Society of China, the vice chairman of the Acoustical Branch of the Acoustical Society of China, and the director of the Chinese Society of Nondestructive Testing. He is an associate editor of the Journal of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME): Journal of Nondestructive Evaluation (ASME Trans. J. NDE), and a member of the youth editorial board of four journals such as CPL and CPB, as well as journals such as Acta Acoustica Sinica and Failure Analysis and Prevention.
