In July 2024, the final of the 2nd "Baotai Cup" Xiamen University College Student Innovation Competition was successfully concluded at the Campus Innovation Center. Our laboratory team "Roentgenwei" won the gold medal of this competition with the project "Roentgenweiv - Leader of Industrial Transmission AI Imaging", and the project instructor Fang Zheng was commended.
With the development of the manufacturing industry in the direction of high precision and high efficiency, traditional industrial transmission imaging equipment faces bottlenecks such as limited resolution, slow detection speed, and large manual judgment error. The "LENTGENWEI" team integrates deep learning and high-energy radiographic imaging technology to independently develop a set of industrial transmission imaging solutions based on AI algorithms, which can realize the automatic identification and visualization of small defects in millimeter-level structure inspection, greatly improving the detection accuracy and efficiency.
The award-winning team is composed of nine students, including Feng Shucheng, Zhang Hongbo, Ma Wenbo, Liu Xinran, Li Yuhao, Cai Yuheng, Qiu Haoran, Gao Yu and Liu Kefan, covering the professional background of electronic engineering, computer science and management. The team members have a clear division of labor, from hardware design, algorithm development to product display, each step has been repeatedly demonstrated and tested, showing strong collaboration and innovative spirit.
