In December 2024, with the announcement of the national finals of the National 3D Digital Innovation Design Competition, the "Tsih" team from the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics of Xiamen University stood out in the digital industrial design track and won the third prize of this competition with its project of "Design of Pipeline CT Real-time Intelligent Detection System". The competition is jointly guided by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the China Association for Science and Technology, bringing together the innovative strength of top universities in China.
Based on the rigid demand of modern manufacturing industry for online and high-precision inspection, the team innovatively introduced a movable scanning module on the basis of traditional CT inspection to realize the seamless connection and continuous capture of assembly line workpieces. Through the self-developed real-time reconstruction algorithm and deep learning model, the system can complete image reconstruction and defect localization in a very short time, and the detection accuracy and efficiency are significantly improved. The system is also equipped with an intuitive visual operation interface and automatically generates inspection reports, which provides strong support for decision-making on the production site.
In the project research stage, team members - Liu Kefan, Wu Guanyi, Qiu Haoran, Cai Yuheng, Lu Yongyu division of labor and cooperation, after months of scheme demonstration, industrial-grade hardware debugging and algorithm iterative tuning, to ensure that the system can adapt to the detection needs of a variety of materials and complex working conditions. Liu Kefan, the team leader, said: "We start from the needs of users and constantly improve the details, just to bring more reliable and efficient intelligent detection solutions to the industry. ”
The instructor, Professor Fang Zheng, spoke highly of the team's interdisciplinary collaboration and technical depth: "The students not only demonstrated solid professional skills, but also embodied the innovative spirit of closely integrating digital design and intelligent manufacturing. It is believed that their results can provide new impetus for the upgrading of the industry. In the future, the "Tsih" team will work with a number of manufacturing companies to carry out pilot demonstration projects, further polish the performance of the system, and actively explore the application possibilities in electronic components, medical devices and other fields. Xiamen University will also continue to take "self-improvement and perfection" as its motto, support young students to climb the peak of science and technology, and jointly promote China's manufacturing industry to move towards a new era of intelligence.
